NIIA has been involved in a lot of interaction with various government departments connected with the Trade and Commerce regarding issues that affect the importers from time to time. The Association also has a constant channel of dialogue with Customs authorities, Port authorities, Shipping companies and various state and central government agencies and bodies. Representations were made whenever additional shipping charges, quarantine conditions, etc were introduced and through our intervention we were able to reduce the burden on the importers.
